What to eat??
Well, there will be snacks for sale at most (if not all) of the pools. Davis is a college town so there are plenty of good (and inexpensive) places for our athletes to grab a bite.
If you get to play at the UC Davis pool (Schaal) you can walk through the tunnel to the left of the entrance to eat with the students at the Tercero dining commons with students and student-athletes for $15 (all-you-can-eat lunch or dinner). Upside, you don't need to repark.
Proximal to all the Davis pools is the Davis Collection of stores and restaurants (Trader Joe's!). Parking here can be tricky, but the food is great! CaliCraft has lots of seating for groups. Also convenient with much more predictable parking is Lamppost Pizza on Lake Blvd. which is run by a DWPC family and has loads of indoor and outdoor seating. If you want to head downtown the famous Davis Farmer's Market runs on Saturday mornings and is the best market ever (we may be biased). Parking is tricky, but don't be afraid of going a few blocks away to grab an easier spot in one of the parking structures. Downtown has loads of quick options, coffee and boba spots and a few real gems (Davis Creamery's divine ice cream and Nick's the Greek's froyo or Greek Fries).
If you need more recommendations don't hesitate to ask our parents, if you ask the kids they'll just say Chipotle (which is also very good).
